On May 28th, 2017, my two beautiful friends, Maria and Will got engaged!!!

Where do I even begin? I'm not entirely sure when Will and I met but I know it was when we were wee little tots because we went to elementary school together. Will also lived in the neighborhood next to me growing up so it was basically inevitable that we would become friends. Then, in ninth grade ceramics class, I met this blondie, Maria. It was an instant friendship. Ever since we seduced the clay (you read that right) we have been best friends.

In tenth grade biology, Maria and I used to write notes back and forth. One day, Will's [code] name just started becoming a regular occurrence on these notes (no, I can't tell you the code name, jeez). I remember her talking about how they were going to go on an official date to see the Justin Bieber: Never Say Never 3D Special Edition movie. --- IT WAS GOOD, OKAY. Then, on March 18th, 2011 Will asked Maria to be his girlfriend (squeal). I vividly remember a group of us sitting behind a computer, at our friend Anna's house, watching her click to make it Facebook official. For sixteen-year-olds this was a BIG DEAL, and let's be honest, it's still a super big deal.

7 years later and they are still going strong. Will and Maria, I am so beyond happy that you two are getting married! Your love is so genuine and pure. You guys make such an amazing pair.

Okay, now time to explain how the photos below came to be. A couple weeks before May 28th Will asked me if I would like to be a part of capturing when he proposed to Maria. I then said I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS MOMENT MY WHOLE LIFE, YES!!! After that came lots of planning, planning, and more planning. One day we went on a five-hour adventure just to find the perfect spot. But eventually, we found the place, set the plan and just waited for the big day.

I was in the woods crouched down behind a tree waiting for them to make their way down the little path. It was like a super intense game of hide and seek. I swear, my heart has never beat so fast, you would think I was the one doing the proposing. Then, they were there. Right in front of me. You know, through the trees, of course. And she didn't see me!!! PHEW. Okay, that was until Will decided to take a selfie facing the direction I was in. I've never ducked so quickly in my life. I was convinced she saw me, but apparently, she didn't which is awesome. Close one, Will hahaha. You could tell he was nervous (awwwww) because Maria kept rubbing his back and giving him cute little kisses. Then, they decided to keep walking.... past the spot. Oh man, talk about internal freak-out. It's okay though because soon enough they were back and I knew the moment was about to happen. He reached into his back pocket, got down on one knee and said those four little words (maybe more, I couldn't hear anything, gotta give them their privacy :))

Then there's me --- click click click click click. All of a sudden I heard my name, "ANNA?!?!" I shot up from my little spot in the woods and ran to hug my best friend. OH MAN. Talk about emotions. This instant was unbelievable. I am so honored to have been able to share in such a beautiful moment in their lives.

Maria said that after Will proposed he said "well, I guess I should have gotten a photographer for this moment, huh?" and she was thinking "Will I can hear the camera hahaha" but then he told her it was me and it was a whole new surprise!! My heart gets so happy just thinking about it. After that we took cute photos of them being fiancés and stuff and then Will had one more surprise in store for her. Their closest friends and family back home waiting for them. How perfect. Seriously.

Okay okay, I could go on and on. But, if you all read this novel, thanks for sticking around :) Now enjoy some photos of my super adorable friends.

P.S. Maria and Will - thanks for letting me hide behind a tree ;) LOVE YOU BOTH SO MUCH.
