Julia + Jake | Engagement Session at the National Gallery of Art | Washington, DC

Julia & Jake’s love story started the way so many middle school romances do—short, sweet, and hilariously awkward. They “dated” for about three days in 8th grade… until Julia’s friends did the classic middle school move and broke up with him for her. (We’ve all been there, right? 😂)

Fast forward about eight years, and fate (aka Tinder) brought them back together. Their first real date—though Julia didn’t actually realize it was a date at the time—was a perfect mix of artsy and delicious: the National Gallery of Art followed by Shake Shack. And from that day on, they never looked back.

So, when it came time for their engagement session, it only made sense to return to where it all began. Walking through the gallery, grabbing a bite at Shake Shack—it was like a full-circle moment for their love story. From middle school sweethearts (kind of) to soulmates, Julia & Jake’s journey is proof that sometimes, love has a funny way of finding its way back. 🤍✨
